Heartbeat= Sex of the Baby

Question From Friend:

The heartbeat was in the high 140's to low 150's, what do you think that means; boy or girl?

ST: I can't really think of it off the top of my head, the saying or idea behind how fast a heartbeat is identifies the sex of the baby. Personal experience, (having had 2 boys and 1 girl), my boys heartbeats were fast, always in the 160-170 range. My daughter's was around 150/154 to be exact pretty much every check up, as I grew in pregnancy.

I decided to do some very minute research, (I could have done more before posting, however,I think along the very same lines as the article, but do remain open-minded to tried and true trials):http://pregnancy.about.com/od/genderpredictions1/ss/genderfht_2.htm

I really like the thought that it shares. I haven't found any of the studies spoken of in particular, (will post later when/if I do).

Not only were my boys heart rates faster, but they were so much more active in utero than my daugheter, and even at present, (ages: 6, 4, and baby girl 2)!

People use the term 'myth' or 'old wives tales', well I don't doubt that some of them seem very true at times.

However, I'm going to hand this one over to Robin Weiss :)
